Elastic Coupling
Elastic Coupling is a device used for the longitudinal joining of two rotating parts of a machine, designed to compensate for the relative displacement of the parts’ axes and to absorb the shocks caused by joining the parts. The elastic coupling component of the coupling may be made of metal, as in a coil spring, or nonmetallic material, as in a rubber doughnut.
Elastic couplings reduce intermittent short period torsional shocks, by briefly storing the shock energy. Any degree of uneven movement and load transfer is consequently reduced. Elastic couplings restrain body resonance and therefore contribute to noise reduction. The elastic coupling transmits the torque safely preventing break-down.

SGFlex-LC elastic coupling
The nex SGFlex-LC elastic coupling system covers the torque range between our SGFlex-3F and TENBEX-ECO elastic coupling systems. The SGFlex link assemblies inside the elastic coupling work with seperate link elements which are made of vulcanised-in cord inlays with Tenpu Fiber Technology. The single link elements are mounted to a robust and highly durable link assembly in order to ensure a reliable torque transmission. The flex coupling system SGFlex-LC elastic coupling is a torsional flexible, non-shiftable elastic coupling. It is used to compensate radial, axial or angular displacements of rotating components, to dampen vibrations in the drive train and to minimise torque Peaks.
